Greetings to all of those who are wondering where I ventured off too! My darling Barbi (whom I still haven’t managed to contact!) was wonderful and picked up the slack for I was away in Hell Florida for a five-day trip to Disney World. Equipped with a five-day hopper pass, humidity so thick that the 99% teetered dangerously into the 100% for a torrential downpour upon sliding down Splash Mountian (walking around completely soaked was sheer pleasure).
After aquiring four brilliant blisters across my tender feet, seeing more of the Magical Kingdom than I ever wanted to see and limping back to the hotel to curl sobbingly around the laptop for the comfort of a little internet I discovered:
1. The spectacular ‘renowned’ resort we were staying at was going to charge me for internet when I can get it free at the Checkers down the street or the Motel 6 on the seedier part of town.
2. The maid had ran over the battery cable for the laptop effectivly rendering it useless.
3. The laptop’s personal battery has the lifespan of a suicidal lemming dancing the chacha at the edge of a cliff.
So any humorous antecdotes I would have shared have long been forgotten due to my non-existant short term memory and all I can leave you with is ‘ohai, I haz a sunburn lolz’.

Before I had left for vacation, I had unintalled my game in a an effort to make myself feel better. After an evening of tanking Ulduar with my guild I literally had no desire to play ever again which meant quite clearly that I was letting people fooling around get to me considering these are people who quite frankly, are good friends.
Me: I would like to take Thorim’s Gauntlet tonight because, well, I haven’t.
Amaneyn: Sure, we will take you, me, Moober and Shigato.
Me: Kay…
*the door opens and we trot in, bright eyed and bushy tailed*
Amaneyn: Right! No my right! Okay now Left!
Me: *does flips into the Beams of Ouchie to fetch mobs off of the intrepid dps*
Amaneyn: Stand over here!
Me: …these Beams, they are not so much Ouchie as they are Ticklish. I’m good kthx.
Dps: *shoots and smacks things like they are having a seizure*
Me: Okay…the mobs are dead and we aren’t. Fantastic! Lets move on!
We arrive in a room that I quickly analyze. There are three mobs, spread out enough that my Flingy Shield of Awesome is probably only going to hit one. I take a deep breath and prepare to taunt and smack anything that comes close to the dps. My finger hovers over the FSoA key when…
Shigato: CHARGE!!11!11 *zooms and begins to hump the guy on the left.*
Moober: pewpewpewpewpew *center mob begins to hurtle across the room towards him after chewing up and spitting out his wolf like it was a plushie and the stuffing didnt agree with him quite well*
Laithwyn: *splutters* I…tank….what?
Amaneyn: *wails like a girl* Do something honey!
Laithwyn: <_< But they are doing such a fantastic job of it for me.
This resulted in a heated exchange that had me vowing never to WoW again, which of course was ridiculous because normally I would have picked up the mobs, scolded the misbehaving dps and gone on to kill Thorim and get my 19th Legacy of Thunder maraca. I went so far as to uninstall my account, cancel payment and promptly leave for my Disney Vacation of WHY GOD WHY IS IT SO HOT. Needless to say, I overreacted. =)
Welcome back – I was wondering at the lack Teresa and Barbi brightening my day (not that this is me selfishly demanding MOAR blogging or anything
)
Sorry you had a bad guild run – for what’s it worth, I can completely see why it wouldn’t have felt like an over-reaction at the time. We spend so long battling bad PUGS and fighting our corner against the tides of moronity sweeping Azeroth towards us that you feel instinctly you should be ’safe’ in your guild. And so when it goes wrong it goes really realy really wrong and you feel disproportionately betrayed.
